Before the fair

At the fair

- Head to your priority employers first, then use the time left to explore booths you had not considered.
What to bring
- Printed copies of your resume, more than you expect to need (10 to 20 for a large fair).
- A charged phone with your LinkedIn profile or portfolio ready to show.
- A pen and a small notebook, or notes on your phone, to record names and next steps.
After the fair
- Send a short thank-you email within 24 hours to each person you spoke with, and mention something from your conversation.
- Apply online to the roles employers pointed you to, and mention that you met them at the fair.
- Connect on LinkedIn with a short note reminding them where you met.
- Check the careers pages of AGT Construction Services LTD., BC Ferries and Canada Border Services Agency and the other employers you met for roles posted after the fair.
