Holders of a certificate in a trade recognized under the intergovernmental agreements with Ontario, New Brunswick, and Newfoundland and Labrador can register with the CCQ to obtain a registration certificate based on their existing qualification, without retaking the qualification examination, provided they meet conditions such as proving they passed a health and safety course.
